I love my name. It was given to me at birth back in 1972, and it also gave me a nickname back in my high school days because I loved to swim even when I was just 2 years old. My mom could never remove me from the pool :)

This name is not just a "tad" short, but it's so boring and simplistic.

This reminds me of that weird Gupty kid on Daria. I often use this word as an adverb, so I find it a *tad* weird as a name. It sounds very youthful and too minimalist anyway.

About the "short form of" it, maybe was that in the beginning and than people started giving their children this name. Well, I think it's a really cute name.
