Sydney Rae Leroux Dwyer is a Canadian American professional soccer player and Olympic gold medalist. As a forward, she is currently signed by FC Kansas City in the National Women's Soccer League. After representing Canada at various youth levels, she chose to play for the United States women's national under-20 soccer team starting in 2008 and later began playing for the U.S. senior national team in 2012. Leroux has earned over 50 caps with the senior national team and was part of the Americans' winning squads at the 2012 London Olympics and 2015 Women's World Cup.

The twin Boulting brothers, who were famous for writing and directing comedy acts in the 1950s, had an older BROTHER named Sydney Boulting. He later went by 'Peter Cotes.' Maybe he thought Sydney sounded too feminine, even though a lot of males were named it back then.
