Teacher "That's enough, everyone who is here on a spelling quiz day is taking the quiz, now the first word: Stew" Child thinks "My nickname?, wow that is sure easy, only three letters!" 10 minutes later... Teacher "Kids, time to hand back the spelling quizzes" *Checks Stuart's paper*.
Teacher: "STUART! Come here, you misspelled a word!" Child: "What word?" Teacher: The very first word, I asked you spell the food, not your nickname, I am sorry, next time I'll be more specific". Child: " Can I go now?" Teacher: "Yes" Child "Thanks, now I know how to spell both" Teacher: "Why, you are truly welcome!" Child "See ya!" Sounds like the word "stew" and it makes me think of Gary Stu.

I do like the name Stuart, but this nickname would be at risk of getting the suffix -pid. That’s a teasing potential!

And it is sorta STU-pid to name him this. It's old-fashioned.
