A very large and famous Kurdish tribe in today’s north-eastern Turkey bears that name. One branch of the Ertoshi (Ertoşî/Ertuşî/Hertoşî/Ertuşî/أرتوشي/ هرتوشي/ارطوشي/هرطوشي) Tribal Confederation called the Shidani (Şîdani/Şîdan/Şida/شيداني/شيدان/شيدا/شيده) tribe. Their name goes back to one of their paternal ancestors, a great-grandfather named Shideh (Şîda/ŞÎde/Şîd/Şît/Sheed). I always assumed it might be the “Kurdish version” of the name of the Islamic prophet Sheeth (شيث) also known as Seth, similarly to the Kurdish name Simko (سمكو) which derived from the name Ismail (إسماعيل). Arabic, Persian and even Turkish names are not uncommon among Kurds, so the idea that Shideh (شيده) is Persian and means "bright" is plausible. Also, there is a Kurdish and Persian word which is rather negative, sounds similar to that name and means “insane”, but it’s unlikely that Shidah/Shideh is meant by that because of a well-known and strict prohibition of naming your child such a negative name in Islamic law.
