I can think of two other Sandys not mentioned: Sandy Brown, the girl from the old cartoon Noozles, and Sandy, the female tiger-striped hamster from Hamtaro.
The dog from Annie was called Sandy, but I can't remember if it was a boy or a girl.

In the Time Quartet series of books by Madeline L'Engle, Sandy Murry is the twin brother of Dennis Murry. He is also the brother of Charles Wallace Murry and Meg Murry. In A Wrinkle in Time, he doesn't appear too much, but Many Waters features his twin and him very prominantly as main characters.
A correction - or rather, addition - to a previous comment: Sandy Cheeks from SpongeBob's real name IS Sandra, but I do think it also is a reference to her fur. :D

Sandy is the name of the energetic squirrel in "SpongeBob Squarepants." I don't think Sandy, in this case, is associated with the names Alexandra or Sandra. She is named that because of her color and because she's a "land squirrel." An actress who bears this name is Sandy Duncan.
