Salah Abdeslam is a Belgium-born French national of Moroccan descent. He was accused of involvement in the attacks in Paris on 13 November 2015, through providing logistical support for the assailants, driving them to their target locations, and having some involvement in the manufacture of the explosives used. Having evaded authorities, he became the target of one of the largest manhunts in modern European history. Europol had Abdeslam as first in a list of wanted criminals out of 57 individuals listed publicly by the organisation in January 2016.
