I think Roxy is a fitting name for female horses because I know one female horse who has this name Roxy and I think it suits her because of her nature and Roxy is a sweetie who tries to do her best for you when riding her!

I actually really loved this name so much that I even named my official character "Roxy"! FYI, the character isn't such a punk or a rock type of person. I don't enjoy rock. Even if this name seems more for a dog or like that, I personally think it fits for a human too.

I think Roxy would make a cute nickname or a name for a pet, but I'd stick with Roxanne, Roxana or the like for a girl's full legal name. That way she can have a nickname to use with close friends and family as well as a more mature name to use when applying for a job or speaking with acquaintances.
