I watch too much anime and this sounds like a male name to me, and while I know that people are more accepting of gender fluidity in the case of foreign languages, I'm not sure that my assessment is fair.
It might just be my ears, since I used google translate to get the phonetics, or my own ideas on how gender is to be assessed in names. I'd also like to use it given the chance as a surname, due to the neutrality I impose!
