I have this name. People I know tell me it's the name of an old man, but when I think of the other 'Roger' I think of 101 Dalmatians movie. Overall I like my version: "Rodger" I think that it looks better when people spell it with the 'd' than without, it makes it look more fancy and full, meanwhile the name 'Roger' looks a little stubby.
I like this name and this form of spelling. It is a simple but strong name.

This name looks stupid to me when spelled with that pointless silent "d." Roger is better, but it's still a goofy name. I would never give a person this name, but it could be okay for a mellow dog like a Bassett Hound.

I actually prefer this spelling of the name to Roger for some reason. I'll never be able to say exactly why, though.
