Rivka

I.B. Singer has a good story about a Rivkele that I read oh so many years ago when I did not live on Kretchmalna Ulitsa.

Rivka was the name of Jess Robin's name in the movie The Jazz Singer which starred Neil Diamond.

In The Devil's Arithmetic (a story about Jews in a concentration camp during the Holocaust), there's a character named Rivka. She teaches Chaya, the story's protagonist, how to survive in a concentration camp. At the very end of the story, it is revealed that she is Hannah's Aunt Eva.

I believe a nice variant of this name would be Rivqah, which was the name of a character in a book I've been reading. In the book Rivqah is the mother of Axis. The book is called The Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglass. It's a great read!
