I like it! It is a good name for Ricky when he grows up, or a shortened version of this. I can imagine someone calling for Ricky "Hey Rick!"

Rick was given to 80 baby boys born in the US in 2012 as a full name.

It's a good strong name. I've never meet a really wimpy "Rick". Not all have been jocks or anything like that, although probably half of those have been. The others where had just very strong character about them. Independent and trustworthy are two things I associate with a "Rick".
