I named my daughter Rhiana in 1997, before Rhianna became known of in the music industry. It's a pretty name that I'd never heard of before I named my girl it. Now it's popular because it's a great name. Rhiann sounds French which is so cool and is also more mature sounding for when the day/age comes when she wants to sound more so.
Would you really give your kid this name? Would you?

Rhianna is a modern (shortened) English version of the Welsh name Rhiannon. According to Welsh speakers who have contributed information about this name, it is pronounced hree-ANN-a. It's a beautiful name.
I have a friend called Rhianna, spelled, however, "Reauna." My good friend Reauna's spelling takes the edge off of "Rhianna" and is easier to pronounce. Nonetheless, this is a pretty name, regardless of how it is spelled or pronounced.
I like this name, though I prefer the spelling Rihanna (after the singer). It sounds prettier than Rhiannon and certainly better than naming a girl Ryan.
I love this name for a little girl. I like how it derived from the name Rhiannon. I really love mythological type names. Rhianna sounds so pretty when said out loud.
I have a friend named Rhianna. Her name is very unique, because I haven't met another Rhianna in our school! However, in our grade there is an Alana (me), Deanna, Bryanna and Rhianna. Bryanna and Rhianna sound VERY similar when a teacher is calling out a name. Rhianna has gone up many times to receive a paper that's actually mine, or Deanna's too. xD
This is my friend's name. She likes it, but it gets mispronounced a lot (ree-AHN-a. she says it ree-ANNA) but she's the only Rhianna in the school. I guess that her parents named her somewhat after a song 'Rhiannon'.
