One of my best friends in preschool and kindergarten was named Reena. Her family was Indian, though I never knew what part of the country they were originally from (I can guess from the listed name origin, though, that it was possibly Maharashtra or Goa). Anyway, her family moved away after kindergarten and I never saw her again; but I always loved the simple sound of her name.
