Rebecca is a beautiful name. Why ruin it by adding pointless letters?

I have 4 girls. Rebeccah and Savannah are the youngest. I love both names and spellings. They are similar in number of letters in name and also the end of their names match. They are close in age and are together always. Their names suit them perfectly. And they have very old soul names.

A coleague of my Mother's bears this name. Though it is not, in my opinion, a pretty spelling of "Rebecca/Rebekah", it seems to suit this woman well. I, though, much prefer "Rebekah" to all spellings.

Where do you get this spelling of Rebecca/Rebekah? It's strange and not pretty.

I really don't like the way this is spelled. I like it much better spelled Rebecca or Rebekah.
