Reba

Hi! My name is Rebecca, and my close family call me Reba. I like it because it just cuts out the "ecca" of my full name. Some people call me Becca or Bec-Bec, but my last name starts with R, so without the alliteration I don't like it. Honestly, Becca just sounds kind of annoying. I don't like the letter B that much--I've been called Rebecca my whole life except for friends and family--so I'm not really used to anything else. :)

Also WHY is everyone saying Reba is a boy's name? It's short for Rebecca!

Short for biblical Hebrew Rivqka which means "to bind", (because of beauty). In Arabic, cardinal number four or fourthborn, also moon princess.

Uhhhhh I don’t really like this name. I mean, I don’t get why someone would want their name to be “Reba”. It’s just kinda weird I guess. I mean, it’s not like I have the best name in the world either (my name is Aria), but I like mine a lot more than this. I agree if your name is Rebecca the best nickname would be Becka. I just don’t like Reba AT ALL. You know, it kinda reminds me of Rebel. Not my style.

Terrific, fun name! I mean, sure, the first and only thing that jumps to mind will probably always be McEntire, but between her singing and TV/movie work, she's an absolutely awesome association.

At first I didn't like this name... I thought it was unusual. But it has really grown on me, very much so. I really like it now.

The only nickname I like out of Rebecca is Becka. I don't really like the sound of Becky, Rebbie is absolutely awful, and Reba here is ridiculous. What sort of a ditzy country girl name is this supposed to be?

This is my name and I think it is great. There is never anyone else in the room with the same name.
