Prudence

The character on Charmed went by the nickname Pru.

In Once Upon a Potty for her, the child is named Prudence. And I think the name is very cute.

Prudence Nobantu Mabele (1971 – 2017) was a South African activist who advocated for the rights of women and children living with HIV/AIDS, and against gender-based violence. She was diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in 1990 and went public with her status in 1992. She set up the Positive Women's Network in 1996. She worked with UNAIDS and also qualified as a sangoma. She was the recipient of many awards, including the Felipa de Souza award in 1999. In 2004, she carried the Olympic flame. She died in 2017 and in her memory the International AIDS Society set up an annual prize for gender activists.

Prudence Hyman (1914 – 1995) was a British ballerina and actress.

Prudence Crandall (1803 – 1890) was an American schoolteacher and activist. She ran the first school for black girls ("young Ladies and little Misses of color") in the United States, located in Canterbury, Connecticut.

Prudence Neff (1887 – 1949) was an American pianist and music teacher.

Prudence Liew Mei-Gwan is a Hong Kong pop singer and actress. A Golden Horse Award winner and platinum selling singer, she has released 16 studio albums and appeared in numerous films.

One of my favourite Siouxsie And The Banshees songs is Dear Prudence.

Prudence Crandall was a Quaker schoolteacher from New England who stirred controversy for creating an integrated girls' school that permitted both white and black girls. Personally, I'm not a fan of the name, but I do like the famous bearer.

This is the name of one of Berta's granddaughters on Two and a Half Men.

Prudence Charity King is the main character in Jacqueline Wilson's "Love Lessons" novel. She has a younger sister, Grace Patience, and falls in love with her Art teacher, despite only being fourteen. I didn't really like the name before very much, but the character wrecked the name completely.
