Prometheus

This is the name that Equality 7-2521 eventually chooses for himself in Anthem by Ayn Rand.

Cenk Uygur, a progressive blogger who hosts the (hilarious) internet/radio show The Young Turks and fills in on MSNBC quite a lot, named his son Prometheus Maximus.

This is used in the title of an episode of The X-Files: The Post-Modern Prometheus, about a Frankenstein-like monster. Which was taken from the original title of Frankenstein, Frankenstein: Or the Modern Prometheus.

The alien from the Kablam short "Prometheus and Bob" had this name.
