I'm kinda in the middle for this one. I love Percy Jackson, but at the same time, whenever I hear the name Percy I think about the green train for Thomas the train. I think that Percy as a nickname for Perseus is really good though.
Reminds me of my favorite poet Percy Bysshe Shelly.

OK, I'm tired of everyone saying how wimpy and girly the name sounds, because it's a great name. It is the main character from Percy Jackson and one of the main characters in Heroes of Olympus. It's my favorite book series, so maybe I'm a little biased about this, but if you don't like the name, you can make it a nickname for something like Perseus, who was a Greek hero who actually didn't end up dying painfully, which can be a good luck charm.
I love the name Percy! I love the Percy Jackson books and I would name my son probably Percy. Of course, he would need black hair and green eyes lol. I don't know why I'm saying this, but here's my favorite quote that Percy says: "That thing is really red. Wonder if it's cherry flavored..." "Why don't you go find out?" "How about no."
I used to think it was a girl name at 4 lol. I was a dumb kid lol...I'm not a fan of it, just thought I'd say that for some laughs. Feel free to laugh all you want lol.

This is one of my favorite names for guys. It reminds me of the charismatic Percy Blakeney from The Scarlet Pimpernel, one of my favorite musicals.
Charlotte, Fabian, and insert name here are the children we have so far. Me and Demio thought, wouldn’t Pierce or Pierre be a good name? Demio explained why not. So, we picked out Percy for our little boy. Charlotte, Fabian, Percy. The perfect 1900s collection. Percy was such a baby-cute name and we absolutely adored it. Sounds so refined on a boy. Definitely not a girl's name in our personal opinion. At Percy’s baptism we realized his name was literally Percy Jackson! And now he is 16, popular in school, and always has a great look. All names that start with P are fabulous names. However, Percy Jackson suited us best!

Percy sounds very feminine to me! I absolutely love Percy for a girl, not a boy. Percy sounds cute as a nickname for Persephone or Percivala, but it would also sound cute as a legal name, too. Percy is so soft sounding. Percy doesn’t sound masculine enough to age well on a boy, but that’s just my personal opinion. But I still think Percy is okay for a boy, I’ll admit. Sorry I tried to take a traditional boy name and make it a girl name only. You think James sounds cute on a girl, but Percy rhymes with Casey so both names are strictly feminine and less masculine to me! Personally, I would name a girl this but not a boy! A good middle name for Percy (girl) would be Josephine or Olivia since I understand Percy is traditionally masculine.

I think Percy's a great name! When I think Percy I think of someone with charisma and energy, with bright eyes and a thirst for adventure. I imagine someone creative. And it doesn't matter if people think of it as an old person name; all old people were once kids, after all!
I personally love the name. I think it sounds so pretty and dignified. Its original name is even better: Percival. Percival just sounds so badass and I think Percy is a great counter to it. Also the nickname of Percy, Perce, is cute in its own way. However, don't let my adjectives, cute and pretty, waver your opinion of the name. I mean these in all good ways.
I reaaaaaaaaaaaallllllly love this name because Percy... as in Percy Jackson... and I'm obsessed with him (not like that) and I also love the name Annabeth so... you can probably guess what I'm naming my children riiiiiiiight?

In my opinion this name sounds very adorable. It would so suit someone with an adorable personality, and one thing that makes it extra cute is the adorable Percy from Thomas and Friends.
I think I'm in love with the name Percy, and not just because of the Percy Jackson series but I like its quiet charm and not too snooty throwback to the Victorian era.
No one thinks of Percy Jackson? Percy Jackson was the main character in the book series of Rick Riordan (Percy Jackson and the Olympians & The Heroes of Olympus), the demigod son of Poseidon. There has been a movie made of the first book (The Lightning Thief) and the second book is being made into a movie now (The Sea of Monsters). This makes me like the name because of the connection to the books (not to mention Percy Weasley). The Percy Jackson books were the series that got me to love reading, so I shall always love the name. Percy was a nickname for Perseus, who was named this because Perseus was one of the only heroes to have a happy ending (although it was the name of the son of Zeus). I LOVE THIS NAME. IT IS SO CUTE.

I've known several cats named Percy, because of the purr sound. And, magicalhannah, Mrs Granger must have been somewhat magical herself to commit suicide "whenever" something happened!
Cruel, unbelievably cruel. You'd be better off naming the child Dorothy McNancypants. The full Percival is better but Percy would be inevitable as a nickname surely?

I, for one, think this is a great name. No matter what any one says, Harry Smotter or no Harry Smotter, I'll always think of that great French Revolution superhero, Sir Percy Blakeney.
I'm not sure why, but this name always makes me think of chihuahuas. I think it's a bit of an amusing and old-fashioned name, and it doesn't have a very pleasant sound to it.
I absolutley LOVE this name. Everyone says that if I name a child Percy he will get teased? But why? It's an awesome name and it has character. I don't like Percival though, just Percy. And, Percy was a train in Thomas the Tank Engine.
