I agree with the other comments. My given name is Pauletta, and so many people want to shorten it to Paul. I can understand Paulette. Close enough. Paula is a completely different name.

For some reason I just love this name. The only place I've ever heard it, I believe, is in the movie "Bring it On"; it's the name of the talk show host.
