Me and my wife gave this name to our son who was born in 2021. I've loved this name for a long time, and all the Osvaldos I've known have been really nice. Glad to have used it on my son!

This is my brother's name, and in the States people have a hard time pronouncing it, so he goes by Oz. Since it is a popular name of Spanish soap opera 'novela' male protagonists, it is considered highly masculine and hero-like in Latin America. Many professional athletes seem to have this name for those reasons, I'm sure.

I like it when spelled with a "w", Oswaldo. Plus you can forget Oswaldo Sanchez, the best goalie around and proudly Mexican!
