Odette is so beautiful, like most French names are, but this one escaped me until recently. It’s so simple and gorgeous, I don’t understand why it’s not popular (I’m glad it isn’t though!)
I think Odette is one of the prettiest names out there. This one, along with Anneliese, Genevieve, Anastasia and Josephine seem very beautiful to me. All I ask is that it doesn't become too popular in the next few years.
I absolutely love my name! I have never met someone with the same name! It's unique and powerful. I wouldn't change it ever! I don't even use my second name. Odette Ann, although I love them both! I would have been named Emmarentia Jeanette, but due to a huge family fight about names my mom just opened a baby book with names and picked the first one she noticed.
This is one of the prettiest names I have ever heard! Works well with all ages and rolls off your tongue! I love the name Odette Sylvia Dawn together too!
My name is Odette and I love the name, not a lot of people have my name so I feel unique.

I really like Odette as a full name, it's rather nice. Plus you can not shorten Odette.

I love unusual names like this! I hadn't heard it prior to watching the Swan Princess animated film. I was glad when her name was announced that it wasn't something I'd heard of before, but I did think to myself that it wasn't a pretty name. It's not frilly fru fru like most princess names tend to be, which also gives it that extra bit of 'specialness'.
The Swan Lake reference is awesome. I think Odette is a beautiful name.

I'm sorry but Odette is really ugly-sounding. I just can't see the appeal of it.

I like the name Odette and don't at the same time, if that makes any sense at all. I think of the Swan Princess also. I liked the character Odette when she was young, then not as much when she was grown up and in love with Derek and all that mushy stuff lol.
I think Odette is a lovely name! Especially if put with Marie, Marie-Odette, if you wanted it a bit more feminine but I see no problems with Odette on it's own!
Usually this sort of name would sound to harsh or hard to me, but since I associate it with the princess from The Swan Princess I think of it as feminine, elegant, and beautiful. I probably wouldn't use it for a child, though.
Such a sweet and delicate name. It always reminds me of the princess from Swan Lake, so that's what I always associate the name with - graceful, beautiful, and utterly feminine.
I think it is a very abrupt, but beautiful name. It all depends on how you look at it. Pronounced: Oh-Det. In English this name means 'Little Song'. It is a symbol of 'wind' and a month of April. 'Odette' is a name of peace and power. What I love about this name is that it is rare and unusual. Nobody in my school, or town had this name. I Love it! :)
