Nobu is the current (and only revealed) alias of the leader of a mysterious Japanese organization or "clan" and part of Wilson Fisk (aka the Kingpin)'s criminal cartel in the 2015 Netflix 'Daredevil' series. He is portrayed by Peter Shinkoda.

A character in the book "Memoirs of a Geisha" is named Nobu. He owns an electric company I think. I haven't read the book in quite some time.

Indeed, there is a character in the novel/movie "Memoirs of a Geisha" called Nobu, a shortened version of his name. He's the co-owner of Iwamura Electric, named for his business partner, Iwamura Ken, aka The Chairman as he's known through most of the plot. He's a war hero from Manchuria, having lost an arm (only in the novel).
