This is probably my favorite Persian name. As an Afghan who speaks Dari (Afghan Persian), I would give this name to my daughter (if I ever decide to have children) in honor of my heritage. The only problem that I can think of (since I live in the United States) is that non-Persian speakers will probably have a very difficult time pronouncing this name correctly.

I love this name! I pronounce it NEE-lo-fer/NEE-la-fer. It kinda sounds like Nilla Wafer, but that's ok. Nilofer stands for.
