Nehemiah is a very sweet name. I met one so far and he was very friendly and helpful. The meaning is very positive as well. It's sad that not many people care for this name but to each their own.
It is a nice name but unfortunately the one boy I know named Nehemiah is actually called Mia (pronounced My-ah) by his family. They have named him a strong masculine name but call him by a very feminine nickname. He hates the nickname and the fact most people are too lazy to call him by his full first name and instead opt for any nickname they can come up with like Nee, Nee-ah and Mia, which to him sound either feminine or just dumb. I don't disagree with him.

My middle name is Nehemiah... My first name is Jaydon and it was almost Jeremiah... I absolutely love my middle name, it goes good with Jaydon! I'm proud of it because it's not like everyone else's, like Tarence or Michael or... Matthias.

Jeremiah is an exceedingly better name. I dislike the beginning of Nehemiah. The "Nehe" part just doesn't do it for me.

A good middle name for this would be Nathan or Nathaniel.

Nehemiah is my name, which means "the lord has comforted" or "comforted by Yahweh". I pray and wish that God will grant me that I become like Nehemiah in the Bible. He's my mentor.
Ugh, one of these pompous and foreign-sounding Biblical names with the annoying -iah ending again. People would assume the parents are religious wackos.
Well, I know it may seem strange but I've actually seen a few women be named Nehemiah. Although it was spelled differently. Like Niamiah or Nehemia. I think it's really cute. =)
