I am female and my name is Morgaine but my parents pronounced it Morgan. I was born in 1986 and my mum was reading Marion Zimmer Bradley’s - ‘The Mists of Avalon’ when she was pregnant. I think she should have thought it through a bit more.
I think it’s a nice name pronounced phonetically with the Gaine sound.
It has served me well so far but I would have preferred to be just Morgan. It’s a strong name and I think it rubs off on the bearer a lot.
It’s nice having gender neutral name.
