Please don't tell someone they are not pronouncing their name right. This is my maiden name and I have had many people tell me I mispronounce it. Our family has had this name for thousands of years and I think we know how to pronounce it by now. It hasn't changed. Mor- sounds like more, de- the e short, cai- c sounds like K is silent and the I is long so it sounds like Ki. So it looks and sounds like Mor-de-ki.

The English pronunciation is MOR-də-kie, not mor-də-KIE. [noted -ed]
