I love this name so much! It is handsome, elegant, mature, serious, incredible, strong, and uncommon long masculine given name.

Like this name, though I don't say the "t".

Should stay as a surname.

It's a very handsome name, but a bit too cumbersomely formal, so you'd have to go with 'Monty' (which is perfect for a pet- this is my cat's name!).

I actually like this name a lot! I once had a friend named Montgomery- his last name was Carlo and his nickname was Monty! Monty Carlo- get it?! :)

I actually like this name, but I would never punish my kid by naming him Montgomery. It's just too pretentious. I hate when people pronounce it Mont-gum-ree. It's Mont-gum-er-ree! I hate the nickname Monty too, I prefer Emery.

This name is pretentious and snobbish, and who doesn't think of Mr. Burns?

Old-fashioned, pompous, pretentious, elitist, and it reminds me of Mr. Burns on the Simpsons. The nickname Monty is even worse.

A person could be pretentious, but not a genuine name with history.
