Mollie C. Davis (1932 – 2021) was an American activist and academic. She was active in both the Civil Rights Movement and the Women's liberation movement of the 1960s and 1970s. Her activism led her into the push to develop women's studies programs. She was one of the founders of the Southern Caucus of Women in History, later known as the Southern Association for Women Historians, in 1970, serving as its president from 1971 to 1973. In 1973, she served as co-chair of the Conference Group on Women's History and from 1983 to 1985 was co-chair of the Coordinating Committee on Women in the Historical Profession, both of the precursor organizations of the Coordinating Council for Women in History. Davis was on the executive council of the Southern History Association from 1992 through 1994.
Mollie Phillips, OBE, (1907 – 1994) was a British figure skater and Olympic judge. She is regarded as a pioneer in the sport. Phillips was the first woman to carry a national flag at the opening ceremony of an Olympic Games when she led out Great Britain at the 1932 Winter Olympics. In 1961 she became High Sheriff of Carmarthenshire, the first woman to hold the title.
Maureen Mollie Hunter McIlwraith (1922 – 2012) was a Scottish writer known as Mollie Hunter. She wrote fantasy for children, historical stories for young adults, and realistic novels for adults. Many of her works are inspired by Scottish history, or by Scottish or Irish folklore, with elements of magic and fantasy.

Mollie Billette is one of the four main characters in "The Outdoor Girls" mystery series by Laura Lee Hope. She is brown haired and is of French blood, a tomboy, and spirited... Now that's what I think of when I see "Mollie". And I like Mollie way better than Molly.
