Does anyone really like this name? It makes me think of a narcissistic girl who's a total fake face, it's just ugly, along with Mildred, Millicent, Matilda and Madison.
Not a fan, bad name. If you're called Millie you probably look like Golem. Sorry not sorry.

I like the name it’s cute but not sure for an adult how it would age.

I don’t think it is really a nickname of the name Emily except it is less syllables so therefore is much shorter to say but I think it makes a nice pet name for Emily so that might be what the person below is missing. I do like the name Millie but it’s short for too many different names to be a name in its own right in my opinion, so definitely best as a nickname/pet name for other names.

It makes me laugh how this is a nickname for Emily— are people so lazy that they can’t add the ‘E’ in Emily when they say it? But anyway, Millie isn’t that bad of a name tho, but in my opinion it doesn’t age particularly well. Still, not bad, not bad.
My name is Millie and it is a very unique name. I've never met anyone else with my name. However, it is annoying when people ask me if it's short for something, or misspell it. But overall, I can't think of any other names I would rather have. Millie is a much more mature name than most might think. I am almost 16 and never, has my name been called any of these things in my life before I read this.
Love it and my fav name it is short for is Emily - 2 beautiful names in one, much better than short for Amelia which doesn’t even make sense there is no mil in the name.
Too short, immature and cutesy TRANSLATION: REALLY UGLY!

My name is Millie. It’s quite annoying because people always think I have a longer name and Millie is just a nickname but it isn’t. I love my name and made cookies from the Millie’s cookies recipe- delicious. There are a lot of shops and brands called Millie. My friends think it’s funny to call me cookie, lol. I wouldn’t like to be called Millicent or Mildred or anything like that. One of my friends thinks I’m called Maleficent (like the villain in sleeping beauty).

Boring and silly, they'd probably get silly Millie, its worse than Melissa.
Best name ever. Every single Millie I have known is kind and caring.

Love Love Love Millie! I am pregnant with my 4th baby and if it turns out to be a girl her name will be Millie- no long version either! It's sweet and spunky and fits with my others which are Lucy, Charlie and Max:)
I love the name Millie! It's very cute and pretty! (#⌒∇⌒#)ゞ.

My best friend is called Millie and I love the name. It is sweet and innocent for a child but can also be sophisicated for a teenger/adult. It is not to commenly used either. Sometimes though, I do feel sorry for her when people always ask "is it short for millicent or mildred" and she always has to say "no it is just Millie and isn't short for anything".
I absolutely love this name, it is my own and I wouldn't change it for anything, the only thing that I don't like about it is the amount of names it is a diminutive for... but apart from that, I love it.
Yesterday I asked my little sister what she'd name her kids if she ever had any, and she immediately (to my delight) answered, "Millie!" I was so happy that she had said Milly/Millie instead of something trendy or overused, like Hannah or Violet or Ella. Although I liked her sibset (Joanna, Milena (Milly), Franklin and Samuel) I'm not too keen on Millie. It's a cute nickname, but it's not substantial or very mature.
Yes, the movie was "Yes, Mother" to the above comment. I really love this nickname. We use it for our baby girl who's given name is Amelia. To me it is a bit old fashioned but so sweet! I've had SO many compliments on her name (both Millie and Amelia). She is the happiest baby I have ever met and I'm sure I'm not biased at all:) Millie is just a charming and endearing name. How could you not like a Millie?
It's a cute nickname, but sadly it's short for the extremely dated names Millicent and Mildred. The good thing is that it can also work as a nickname for the more modern Camilla/Camille. Even as a legal name, it would sound more "thoroughly" modern.
The name Millie seems rather old fashioned and unattractive. There are some older names that can stand the test of time, but I don't feel that Millie is one of them.

This is the closest name to mine. I like this name better, it is really nice and old fashioned seeming.
My name is Amelia, and my sister who couldn't pronounce it properly, shortened it to Millie. I like it because it's cute but don't want to lose my identity as Amelia. Often people who know me as Millie think it is an abbreviation of Mildred or Millicent, which is annoying because I don't like either of these names! I think the spelling "Millie" is more mature-sounding than when it is spelt with a "y".

I don't know why I think of cookies or pies when I hear this name but it's alright--it's quaint and sounds better than other nicknames I've heard. I used to have a cat named Millie, but it never fit her anyway.

Millie or Milly is a cute, strong name with an "industrious" meaning.
