Millicent Sowerby (1878-1967) was an English children’s book illustrator. She was the sister of writer and suffragette Githa Sowerby and daughter of John George Sowerby.
Millicent is one of Donald Duck's childhood friends. She's very determined to become rich, and her idol is of course Scrooge McDuck. When she becomes an adult, she wants to appear on economy and finance magazines. Her name really suits her personality.

On an episode of "The Brady Bunch" Melissa Sue Anderson (Mary on Little House on the Prairie), played a character named Millicent. I believe that she was a "love interest" for Bobby Brady.

This was the name of the aunt in P.J Hogan's Peter Pan released in 2003. Aunt Millicent she was and now I am quite neutral about this name, half sounds sweet and youthful and half sounds old and nagging.
