BUT the first is what counts. It refers to the flood of Noah. If you look at the names in chapter 5 of Genesis they arguable message to Christ. I.e., using the first known interpretation above (and not offered on this site), it shall be sent on his death, and the fact that he was the longest living person shows God's grace before the flood (upon his death) and anyway the names seem to message: that man was condemned and God would send a messenger after the flood.
I am so surprised with this name. No more information about this name Mathuselah, and little information about his father Enoch. It is so beneficial to me to know about the meaning of the name Mathuselah. Enoch had done one great work in his time - he walked with God, he talked with people about judgment, but no one believed him. Finally he named his son Mathuselah. Glory be to the Lord.
