Maynerd sounds too close to the name “nerd”. A boy or a girl would get teased mercilessly, and get called “nerd”! I wouldn’t use it. It’s okay for anybody if they love it, but I don’t really love it too much because my kids aren’t nerds in the meaning of “dork or loser”. I love the meaning nerd as a “smart or intelligent” kid that reads. So maybe this name would sound okay on an actual nerd meaning “smart” or a dork that was made to get teased.

Maynerd. A nerd of the spring time (more accurately, May) Not a name I'd put on my kid, thanks.
