This is my name, so I may be a bit biased, but I love it! I don’t want to sound conceited, but I have always thought the sound of my name is pretty and flows off the tongue nicely. Since it’s not that commonly used nowadays, there were never any other girls in my class with my name, which I personally appreciated. I’ve never been bullied about it... in fact, I often get compliments. My parents chose this name for me as a way to honor my great-grandmother, Mary and my grandmother, Elizabeth. I will say that some people have occasionally called me Mary-Anne by mistake when they have just met me, but I just correct them and move on. I have also had to explain that I do spell it Mary Beth, not Marybeth or Mary-Beth, but that’s no big deal in my opinion. To anyone considering this name, I say go for it. It’s never done me any harm.
