Martie

I had a coworker full-legal-named Martie, and neighbors who named their girls Marti and Mandi.

These are all great names to go by, but it's a bit sad to me when people (especially girls or women) are given these very casual names as their full name. It just says low expectations to me, as if no one considered they might want to later have the option of putting Martina or Amanda on a job application.

It's okay. Reminds me of Back to the Future. :)
It's also Romanian for "march."
