This name has an earthly beauty to it, due to the actress Mariska Hargitay I think of this head-strong woman whenever I hear it. Would love to hear this more in real life, it's a pretty name!

I adore this name! So pretty, it sounds so mysterious, and harsh (but in a good way), a name a child could grow with!

Harsh yet beautiful. I have grown to love it. There is a character in the 2004 movie "Van Helsing" (it wasn't very good) with this name, although it is spelled Marishka. She was one of Count Dracula's three vampire wives, the others being "Aleera" and "Verona."
