Marinda

It's a nice alternative to Miranda. Makes me think of dancing to salsa music for some reason. (Marinda= Marimba?) Idk. But I like it.

So pretty and mystical sounding. Only it should be spelled Merinda.

Lovely name, has a very musical sound to it. I think it would fit a bard or some other music-associated character very well.

I dislike Miranda as it is, but this doesn't look or sound any better.

My name is Marinda and I've only heard it in my own family, since it was an ancestor's name. I have never heard it elsewhere… for this reason I like it because it is unique and I think quite pretty sounding, but it also gets mispronounced a lot! And I constantly have to spell it for people. Growing up my nick-name was Mindy, but once I went to college, I kind of outgrew the name and started introducing myself as Marinda instead.

Nah, this doesn't sound right. Miranda is a perfectly good name, and swapping the 'a' and 'i' only makes it sound ugly.
