It's a very strong, respectable name. Unlike Marco, Mangy and Wells Fargo.

This name is very abrupt and harsh-sounding. It brings to mind a mean schoolteacher with her hair pulled back in a severe bun. It also sounds snobbish, like the parents thought their little darling was "too good" to be named Margaret.

Love it! Doesn’t seem overly old-fashioned.

My name is Margo and I love the name, it's awesome and who ever doesn't like it is wrong and they have bad taste lol. Also Margo is better than Margot because I never liked the t on the end. My name is pretty and different and it's nice to have a name that's not overused. It's more of a girl's name than a boy's name. I am proud to be named Margo, it's the best name ever:)

I love Margo and Margot. There is teasing potential with any name. I think this one is unique and spunky. There might be more people with this name because the movie Paper Towns just came out.

I love Margot, but I like Margo more because it prevents any misspellings and mispronunciations. I'd use this in a heartbeat, but more likely as a middle name.
I like this variant of Margaret. It's unusual being a girl's name ending in the letter 'O'.

The name Margo was given to 88 baby girls born in the US in 2012. It's also my grandma's name :) I like it, you don't see too many feminine names ending in o.
I have never liked the name Margo and I like it even less now that I have personally seen the horrors that come with this name. I have a friend named Margo. Despite being grown, she still gets teased about her name by kids and adults alike. Often people will call her Fargo, Fargo Margo, magot, they will also add a "t" and pronounce it Mar-got. She even got Margotto once. So do your kid a favor and just keep this name as a guilty pleasure.
I adore this name! I prefer it to Margot (which I know is the proper French spelling), but I think Margo is prettier. Plus, Margot looks too much like maggot.
Margo is my favorite nickname for Margaret. Margaret is a nice name with so many possible nicknames, but unfortunately, none of the nicknames are that pretty. In school, I tried to get people to call me Margo, but sadly the nickname never stuck, probably because the name Margo is so rare. I got stuck with Maggie, Margie or just Marg instead. It's a shame, because I think Margo is much prettier. I hope it becomes a bit more popular.
