According to Wiktionary, the name means "daisy" in Occitan also. [noted -ed]
https://oc.wiktionary.org/wiki/margarida
EDIT: According to the Permanent Congress of the Occitan Language's multidictionary, the name and term (daisy) are common to pretty much all the dialects. HOWEVER, Gascon has "Margalida" and Auvergnat has "Marjarida" as a variant. Magalí (spelled "Magali" in the existing entry on BTN; the accented "í" at the end is the traditional Occitan "classic" spelling; without the accent is French usage and Mistralian spelling) is another common given name across the six dialect groups, which is a diminutive of it according to this.
