I love it! Reminds me of Manuela Saenz. Simon Bolivar's lover, she was equally badass and brave in my opinion. She even risked her life to save him, yet survived, Yay.
Gives me Spanish courtesan vibes, in a good way.
Well that is my name and I never really liked it because of the pronunciation, but seeing that some people on here hate it too breaks my heart. I hope I learn to like it since I'm stuck with it for the rest of my life though. :(
I love this name, but I prefer Emanuela. It's elegant, but Emanuela is more feminine.
Oho, what a hilariously unfortunate name. I am certainly immature, but I'd never name a girl Manuela.
This was going to be my name because my dad's name is Manuel but I'm so happy it's not because this name is horrible for a female to have.
I love the name Manuela, I think it is so beautiful, no matter which pronunciation you use. If I name my daughter this I will pronounce it Man-you-ella. As much as I love this name, I'm not sure If I will be able to use it. I am half Mexican, marrying an all-white guy. It's impossible to tell at this point if any of our 75% white children will be suited to the name (I always felt it sounded more Hispanic.) If we use it and she ends up not being suited to it, we could always use Ella or Nella as a nickname.
This name is like Samantha and Amanda, because they all have man in them. That is a shame.
