No thanks. I hate this name with a passion, and it's just so weird. When I was very young I knew a girl who had this name and I really did not like her name. Also makes me think of gross stuff.

Better off if it's used as a nickname or on a pet.
Love this name. In my eyes it’s very usable, it reminds me a lot of Lily but more spunky. I think if Lily can be a wearable name so can Lulu. Also as they age they can go by Lou.
I like Lulu and Lana. Cute names for sisters or a pair of twins.

It’s adorable but I would suggest using it as a nickname because can you imagine a 40 year old Lulu? Who knows, maybe it suits them very well, I don’t know though. I would suggest a name like Luella, Lucy, or Lucille.
My name's Louisa and I go by Lulu for short. I'm not the biggest fan of the nickname but it's what everyone has always called me. I didn't have a huge problem with it and people calling me "toilet" but then my name kept getting compared to a dog. It's a pretty nickname, just wanted to warn about that.
I do not know why Lulu looks rather classic and not such informal to me though it is like a pet name. It has a vintage style. I will not consider Lulu as an unintelligent person. Maybe she is not extremely smart but definitely attractive and cute.
I love this name, I seem to like first names beginning with L and containing four letters but it isn't too common. Lulu Frances I like. I'd recommend anyone choosing this, I think it suits any age. I think Lulu is my favourite name just before Lana, it's unusual, interesting and cute but needs to be pronounced right.
Lulu is an awesome nickname for Lucy, Louise, or Eloise. It's a very youthful name, and I wouldn't call an adult Lulu, but it is SUPER cute on a child.
I'm feeling slightly... offended? while reading these comments. So my name is Loulou, a variant of Lulu. People take me seriously. Sure, my friends tease me by calling me things like "toiletoilet' but really it's a fine name. And no, my nickname is not Loulou, it's officially stated on my passport, school reports, etc. So if you are planning to name your child Loulou/Lulu, please do. It's a lovely name and you don't have to be concerned. I really love my name. I was named after my great-grandma and I feel honored about it for some strange reason.(◕‿◕) If your name is Loulou/Lulu, be proud as it's an awesome name!
My name is actually Lulu (as in first name written in my passport). I'm from Germany, I'm named after my great aunt. I love my name, I think it suits me very well even though my character does not correspond to all the stereotypes. I'm looking to become an economist so nothing artistic. I never got bullied for the name. And everyone I meet likes it.
Lulu is the best name ever if you are thinking about the name Lulu for your daughter, do it!

Lulu's used as a dogs name? *sigh* No wonder these associations have been created in the first place. It means "pearl" and is a lovely name in its own right. Lulu is totally cute and is very easy to spell and pronounce. I find it rememberable too; perfect for a girl and is beautifully pleasant and feminine sounding. I would take any girl called Lulu seriously, after all, I'm not nameist (okay, that may not be a real word, but you get what I mean). People may be cruel and judge this name however realistically speaking, that doesn't mean a girl called Lulu will be turned down a job constantly over and over again when they have enough skills and qualities needed. Of course they'll manage to be accepted in the workplace. (• ε •) It's quite ludicrous to imagine teasing (I doubt anyone will make fun of the name during work knowing the dire consequences that they risk LOSING their job). I ♥ this name. (✿◠‿◠)

This is a cute nickname and it can be used for any name like Lourdes, Lola, Annylu, Marylou, etc...

I think this name is too childish for an adult. Yeah sure, for a toddler it is cute but imagine that child getting a job and having to live with such a Disney-like name!
I'd avoid this name, although I think it's pretty. I'm a pre-school teacher, and in my school, three children (from different families) said "I have to Lulu" when they wanted to use the restroom (we're working on having them use the word "restroom" or "bathroom"). Also, some people call the restroom the "loo." I think I'd stick to other pretty "L" names like Lucy, Lila, Leela, Lyra, Lily. Growing up can be difficult enough for some kids without burdening them with a name that has the possibility of being used that way.

I love Lulu. It is one of the cutest, spunkiest nicknames I've ever heard. It is a little hard to imagine a Dr. Lulu or anything, but I think of Lulus as artists or teachers anyway. I like it as a nickname for Luna, Lucy, Lucinda, Lucia, Luise/Louise, Luisa/Louisa, and basically ANY name that starts with Lu-/Lou- can be made better by being "Lulu."
Of COURSE one would not use this as a full name. But as a nickname for Louise, Louisa, etc. I think it's cute. I like it; it reminds me of Louise Brooks. I wonder if people who hate this name would like Lola better? That seems to be a trendy-ish name right now.
My nickname happens to be Lulu. I think it's spunky and playful. Maybe not a good given name but it depends on the personality of the one you're naming.
I think that this name sounds somewhat immature, but it would still be okay as a nickname for Louise or the like.

My family has always used this as a pet name for the vagina. And my friend used it as the name of her baby blanket. It's just too cutesy and childish. I could never imagine calling a person that.

It's a cute nickname for a little girl, but utterly infantile for a woman, and even for a 12-year-old girl, it would already sound too immature. It's a bit hard to imagine a woman with a PhD named Lulu, and someone with this name would, indeed, have difficulty being taken seriously.
I cannot imagine naming my child Lulu. It's such a little girl name, and barely that. It's really more of a pet name than anything else, just like Fifi. It has no dignity.
Oh dear. Where to start. I think Lulu is a nice name for a poodle, that's all. Um. I'm not trying to be rude, but I think Lulu is a really bad name for a human being. So if your name is Lulu, I feel really really bad for you.
Yea I totally agree with flyingbanana. Lulu is a perfect name. For a dog! Actually I think it would make any dog out there seem adorable. Also this name would fit nicely for a cat as well. Um. No offence to all the Lulus out there!
Okay, this name might be cute. It might be the most adorable thing you've ever seen. But future parents. Can you imagine your poor daughter with this name? In preschool it wouldn't be so bad, Middle school is when the trouble would start to kick in. Then high school and college. "Lulu Smith" written on the diploma. Then when she gets a job and they page her. "Lulu to the front desk, Lulu to the front desk". I'm sorry, but I am really just against naming your daughter this. And if you must, just use it as a nickname, or a middle name!

I happen to love the name Lulu. It's so uncommon these days, because it is old fashioned. Some of the older names are the best names out there. I like it especially as a nickname for Luanne.
