I first came across this name when looking through old family photos, and discovered that my great-great uncle who died as a baby had this as a middle name. I was intrigued by this name, as I had never heard it before, and I think it is quite a nice one.
I feel like Llewellyn is more of a girl's name, it’s not bad for boys but I just know a lot of girls with Llewellyn as a name. I’m a girl.

Llewellyn sounds virtually identical to the girls name Lou-Ellen. I don't dislike the name, but I associate it so much with girls names (such as the relatively popular Ellen) that I couldn't name my son Llewellyn.
