Ling

Ling Ling is an imaginary character invented by the Australian duo TwoSet Violin. Ling Ling learnt musical theory in the uterus and started playing violin at one second of life. Nowadays, Ling Ling is the best violinist in the Universe and is defined as "the new Paganini" and "the Chuck Norris of the violin". Ling Ling is a doctor too. At the start, Ling Ling was supposed to be a boy, but, as a supernatural entity, they have no gender -like angels. Ling Ling practices 40 hours a day, and "Ling Ling 40 hours" is a slogan of TwoSet Violin. In addition, classical musicians are covered by the Ling Ling insurance when they appear ignorant in terms of not-classical music or when they make mistakes while playing an instrument they have never played.

Língxiù (靈秀) Kuāng (匡) known as R.F. Kuang is a Chinese-American fantasy writer. Her first novel 'The Poppy War' was released in 2018, followed by the sequel 'The Dragon Republic' in 2019. Kuang has won the Compton Crook Award, the Crawford Award, and the 2020 Astounding Award for Best New Writer, along with being a finalist for the Nebula, Locus and World Fantasy Awards for her first novel.
