I met a girl with the name Lilac, although it was not her first name. Her full name was Suzanne Lilac, which sounds pretty, but personally, I won't name a child Lilac.

It's pretty and makes a darling middle name. But as a first name, it's almost too sweet and delicate. But, of course, that depends on the bearer... if I met a tomboy Lilac, I'd probably view it differently.

Lilac is my given name, but I opted to use the slightly more common Lila. I was teased as a child because it was considered "weird".
