Has negative connotations because it has "lie" in it and Lila Rossi has this name, who almost everyone seems to vehemently dislike because she always gets everyone in trouble in really obvious ways. It's a shame it has those connotations otherwise it would be so pretty!
So beautiful, it makes me think of music. Very easy on the ear and flowy-sounding. My sister's cat is named Lila and she's a very funny creature. Her nicknames are Liles and Lilee. I like this name and the meaning a lot. It's fun to say.
I’m sorry, but I really don’t like this name. I know this is a nice variant to Lyla, but the ‘li/ly’ bit is annoying. I don’t know any Lilas in real life, but if you think about pop culture, all the associations I know are bad. For example the Miraculous Ladybug character, Lila Rossi and Lila Bird from Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese. The name just reminds me of someone who lies!Of course, if you like this name, like this name. I’m not here to judge you. If you have a different opinion, that’s fine. Don’t take my comment too seriously, as I said, I never knew anyone named Lila. If you want to name your daughter Lila here are some middle names: Lila Rose Lila Imogen Lila Giselle Lila Izabelle.

I wouldn’t worry about nicknames at all! Lila is a lovely name and I don’t care if the nickname is Lie. Y’all need to stop worrying about it.
I'd probably use this as a nickname for Leila or Lily, but I wouldn't use this as a first name. It sounds kind of tacky, and probably would be the name one would give to their cat, or maybe their favorite plush toy. Can't see this on an actual girl.

My name is Lilah, with an H. My name is getting more popular and it's kind of annoying, but I was almost named Tallulah. Being Lilah is fun.
Lila is such a pretty name, I have a friend called Lila and I wish I had her name. It sort of reminds me of a delicate flower because of the similarity between Lila and Lilac, it’s such a fun name that rolls off the tongue!
Lila (lie-luh) is a stunning choice! Ages so beautifully! It is fun to say and easy on the tongue! Could come from the biblical name Delilah. I also like the Lilah spelling.
I love this name! But I like to pronounce it LIL-AH I don't know if it's said like that in another language, but I'm in love with it pronounced that way.
This name reminds me of the beautiful and fragrant lilac flower. I also like the alliteration of the two "L" sounds... to my ear, a lyrical and lovely effect.
