Comments (Meaning / History Only)

In Hebrew, the word/script "לִי" (as in the description), pronounced LEE, means "me"; the traditional form of the name. The script "לי" with the difference of the missing dot below it, means "to me"/"for me" (same pronunciation). Both are used and acceptable. In Haitian Creole, the word 'li', also pronounced LEE, can mean either "he" or "she".
