I think Leon is such a beautiful name. It is strong, handsome, and it ages with elegance. I love the meaning as well, and the adorable nickname “Leo”. Overall, I think Leon is a wonderful name.
I have a one-year-old named Leon! He's the cutest and he loves his name and is such a happy boy. Naming him this gives me such happiness. Lee for short is great. Strongly recommend. :)
This is my name and I love it so much, I chose it after Leon Kuwata from Danganronpa and after looking up the meaning.

I named my baby boy Leonard (2020). My older son said he is going to call his brother Leon because he likes that name more. I like Leon too it's a nice name. I wouldn't mind if Leonard wanted to go by Leon in the future. For now we all call him Leo which I love the most.

My buddy used to go by Leon. He doesn't anymore, but it's a solid name that'll always have a positive association with it from my friend. :)

I definitely prefer Leo. Also, I don’t like the English pronunciation. I prefer the other pronunciations like German.
Wow this name just sounds so handsome. I have come to find that a guy with a soft sounding name is more attractive versus a harsh sounding name. This seems like a great name (first or middle) and reminds me of the awesome band Kings of Leon.
Although Leon is not my name it has to be my favorite name hands down. I love how diverse the name is as there’s really no racial limitations that people place on the name unlike a lot of names. It’s a very strong, simple name but doesn’t sound brash and still sounds beautiful. The name would definitely lose it’s flavor if it became more common, but currently it’s my favorite name.
I love the name Leon, because it’s my name. Yes Spanish origin and Leon Espino, I know it’s hard to find anyone with a name like that it’s not very common in the United States but in Mexico very common, meaning lion.

I like this name, but Leon in Spanish (pronounced lay-ohn) means lion. Which actually, isn't that bad ;)

Leon is a strong name that manages to sound both ancient and modern. To me, it has a very different sound to, and a more masculine feel that, its cognate Leo, and I like the fact that it works across all European languages. Leon used to be a fairly unusual name but it is climbing in popularity. However popular it becomes, it will always be classic – a name suggesting a big heart, pride, loyalty and fighting spirit.

I always think of lion from Wizard of Oz. Not a name I would pick for my own kid.
I love it. A short name, but so beautiful, much better than Leo, Leonard or Leonardo. I pronounce it LEH-ohn or LAY-ohn.

I like this name. It sounds more complete than Leo, and is a nice old-fashioned choice without looking too dated. However, I hate how this website calls it a Jewish name, because it is not.
Leon is one of the modern names in Germany that I find do unnervingly ungraceful and uninspired, but I've found out that this impression only refers to the German pronunciation of Leon and that in fact, I love the spelling of it. Since I know how Leon is pronounced in England etc. I love the English version. It's somehow gracious and strong at the same time. Very 19th century, in my opinion.
