I knew a guy named this. He's American and he pronounces it LEEF, as in leaf. He was surprised to learn that there was any other pronunciation.

This has quickly become a favorite name of mine. It would be a great alternative to the name Liam. I also like that it is an anagram of Life.

I named my son Leif, and I beleive that this name is soft yet masculine.
