Although I’m not a huge fan of typical African-American names because of my own personal name preferences, I actually don’t think this name is that bad. It’s just La-, and then you add -quan to it. Big deal. It would go nice with a name on the more old fashioned side, like Laquan Oliver or Laquan Horacio.
