It's worth noting that the pronunciation of the name is very distinct from the Greek one spelled the same way. The a in "La" is long, so the syllable is the same as in "Land". "Mi" is the same as in "mix" with a short I sound. The last "a" is actually the Arabic letter ع which has no counterpart in English but is approximated to the sound of a vowel at the start of a word according to its placement.
