A very common Australian name! It's equivalent to Micheal or Adam in other English speaking countries. Here we pronounce it as "loch-lan", similar to the word "lock" and "land". I think it's quite a nice name and would be unique outside of Australia and Scotland. But keep in mind it's commonly masculine!
